For Kenyans living abroad

Build back home with confidence

For Kenyans in the diaspora building, renovating or developing property at home. An independent engineer on your site, reporting to you — so the progress you pay for is progress that exists.

The worries we hear most often

Building from thousands of kilometres away is hard. These are real, common concerns — and each one has a practical answer.

  • I can't visit the site.Scheduled visits by a qualified engineer, documented with dated photos and video.
  • I'm not sure the reported progress is real.Milestones are physically verified before you release payments.
  • Materials seem to disappear.Deliveries checked against delivery notes; usage monitored within the agreed scope.
  • The budget keeps growing.Spending tracked against budget; variations flagged before they are approved.
  • I don't know if my contractor is reliable.Workmanship, progress and conduct reported objectively, visit by visit.
  • Communication is patchy.A fixed reporting rhythm and calls scheduled around your time zone.

How it works from abroad

  1. Remote consultation

A video or WhatsApp call to understand your project, your contractor and your concerns.

  2. Baseline inspection

We visit the site and record its current condition, quality and progress.

  3. Agreed reporting plan

Visit frequency, report format, milestones and payment checkpoints agreed in writing.

  4. Regular verified updates

Reports after each visit; milestone confirmations before payments.

  5. Completion & handover

Final inspection, snag list and a handover file you can keep.

Pay for progress, not promises

The single most effective protection for a diaspora build is linking every payment to verified work.

  • Agree milestones that can be physically checked — "ground floor slab cast and cured", not "50% done".
  • Request payment only when a milestone is complete.
  • We inspect and confirm, with photos, before you release funds.
  • Every payment and confirmation is recorded in your project file.

Questions from diaspora clients

Can't find your question? Ask it directly — there is no obligation.

Ask on WhatsApp
How do we communicate across time zones?

We agree a regular reporting schedule at the start — written reports after each visit, plus video calls at key milestones scheduled at a time that suits you. WhatsApp and email are used for quick questions in between.

Can you work with my existing contractor or relative on site?

Yes. We work alongside whoever is already involved. Our role is to give you independent, documented information — not to replace people you trust, but to support them with professional checks.

Do you handle my money?

Payment arrangements are agreed in writing. Many diaspora clients prefer to keep paying contractors and suppliers directly, releasing funds only after we have verified the relevant milestone. Where we coordinate purchases, every transaction is recorded and reported.

Can you check a project that was started before you were involved?

Yes. A baseline inspection records what has been built, assesses its quality against the drawings, and gives you a realistic picture of what remains.

Can you help me plan before I start building?

Yes. We can help with budgets, BOQs, appointing professionals and contractors, and setting up a payment schedule tied to milestones.
